An expanding business based near Fleet is offering an opportunity for an experienced Workshop Technician to join their team. The role is ideal for a candidate with experience in a hands-on workshop environment and looking for some career development.The Workshop Technician will provide technical support with:

  • Equipment build and test
  • Conversion of stock equipment to satisfy customer requirements
  • Understanding how the technology is constructed and operates
  • Disassembly, inspection, repair, and re-assembly
  • Interpreting detailed instructions, engineering drawings and create technical reports
  • Fault diagnosis and analysis of the equipment to identify potential system issues and offer advice for improvements
  • Checking of incoming goods against engineering drawings with quality awareness
  • Disassembly and assembly of rotating equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining an efficient and safe workshop and test area environment
  • Compliance with all health & safety standards and regulations
  • Ensuring full conformance to work instructions, procedures, quality standards and specifications
  • Following standard operating procedures.

Key skills we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing/repair environment with - ideally 3/5 years of engineering experience
  • Ideally an engineering qualification or evidence of a previous apprenticeship
  • Good mathematical knowledge, able to use simple equations and conversion of units of measure
  • A strong technical ability in mechanical systems
  • Clean driving licence.
