Occupational Therapist - Fleet

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Fleet and support our students in achieving their personal, social, and educational goals. As an Occupational Therapist at our school, you will play a vital role in helping students develop skills to engage in activities, improve independence, and enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities- Occupational Therapist:

  • Assess and provide individualised therapy plans for students with a range of SEN, including physical, sensory, and developmental challenges.
  • Working with teaching staff and support teams to develop strategies that improve students' engagement and participation in school activities.
  • Provide direct therapy sessions, using evidence-based interventions to support motor skills, coordination, sensory processing, and daily living skills.
  • Advise staff on creating inclusive classroom environments that meet the sensory and physical needs of students.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy plans as required.
  • Work with families and external agencies to support students' therapeutic needs in Fleet

Skills and Qualifications- Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent) and HCPC registration.
  • Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs.
  • Understanding of sensory integration and strategies to support various learning disabilities.
  • Passionate about supporting children and young people to reach their potential.
