A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Coordinator to join a long established and highly successful Fleet based business who are a market leader in their specialist field.

My client operate within a very niche market and are the largest independent supplier of clean air and containment services in the UK and Ireland. They also support clients as far afield as Asia and the middle East.

You are not expected to have experience in the same industry, full training given on both the Project Coordinator role and the sector in which they operate. An extremely friendly and fun working environment, fully office based Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. The ideal candidate should be commercially astute with strong communication skills. This is a fast paced role so strong organisation skills and attention to detail are essential. You should ideally have previous scheduling/project co-ordination experience.

The main duties of the Project Coordinator role include;

  • To schedule work for field-based service engineers, engineers located throughout the UK
  • Dealing with all incoming service and breakdown enquiries
  • Forward planning all service visits to keep, as far as is possible, all engineers
  • Ensure that the engineers are fully briefed on the requirements of each job and have the full scope of work.
  • Managing the workflow of engineering staff
  • Maintaining excellent customer service through telephone and email
  • Working closely with sales & parts departments to ensure customer deliveries and contracts are correct and maintained.
  • Dealing with all bookings and re-bookings.
  • Assisting with customer invoicing as necessary
  • Liaising with the Part Dept over installation of purchased parts and where necessary assisting in the acquisition of parts
  • Managing engineer holiday entitlement to maintain customer coverage
  • Managing sickness of engineers
  • Assisting with first line disciplinary function in conjunction with the Scheduling Manager and Managing Director
  • Developing and monitoring financial and operational engineer KPI’s to improve efficiency and profitability.
