Job Description

Quantity Surveyor

Looking for a candidate with over two years expereince preferrably three,.

Accurate preparation of pricing and costing documentation, management of subcontractor and client request’s, to ensure efficient and profitable delivery of projects. Including preparation of valuations, FA’s etc.

Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Job Activities

  1. Developing new clients .
  2. Maintaining relationships and client facing to develop profitable work streams.
  3. Pricing of projects
    1. Compilation of budget prices for projects based on development plan and briefing documents.
    2. Price for schemes based on schedule of rates currently used, using full working drawing packages.
    3. Producing tender packages for projects, based on tender information available.
    4. Producing prices and programming small works.
  4. Cost Analysis for all submitted tender and priced packages being sent from Lynx Forecourt Limited.
  5. Compile and use subcontractor tender information and prices based on the scope of works.
  6. Write and compile subcontractor orders and qualify subcontractor’s competence for completing tasks.
  7. Ensure take off information is compiled and written including equipment that is required to be purchased by the buyer.
  8. Drawing distribution list compiled for the correct drawing distribution to subcontractors.
  9. Ensure site has accurate account and brief of what is to be built on site, and that there is a process of CRF sign off and brief change to match.
  10. Ensure a smooth process of LOI / Order’s received / correct contract are in place in a timely fashion to meet the client’s expectation on delivery of the project. Completed by ensure a Risk Register of Lead In items is completed and issued to the client to ensure timely delivery.
  11. Ensuring current design can be constructed, through a process of ‘Can We Build It’ meetings, ensuring stats, design issues are resolved timely before the contract begins.
  12. Attend pre contract and prestart meetings, ensure all actions are followed up and actioned through process tracking.
  13. Instruction tracking – Site Process Management
    1. Attending site meetings / DTM’s
    2. Manage drawing change process and ensure CRF process and tracking of payments in place.
    3. Ensure client is aware of time required for CRF instruction.
  14. Monitor site activity and ensure compliance with scope of works.
  15. Ensure process of Timely Valuations are in place and agreed with Cost Consultant’s and payment scheduled adhered to. Ensure they are processed for payment.
  16. Ensure a process for Final Account preparation and agreement is place within 2 weeks of completion of the project to ensure Lynx receives full remuneration for the works completed.
  17. Progress on the program and cost implication are fully recorded, monitored, and authorised by the client before they are completed.
  18. Signing of invoice payments to match works completed, in line with quotations and variations.
  19. Support in other areas of the business as and when required.

Driving license and car required as travel to site is required UK wide.
