Our client is a leading supplier of high pressure pumps based in North Hampshire in premises which are and easily accessible to the M3. The position is office based 5 days per week and is ideally located for candidates living in Basingstoke Camberley Alton Bordon Farnham Farnborough Aldershot.

We are seeking a collaborative Internal Sales Engineer or Technician with experience of the pump industry who will be able to quote for parts, full systems and bespoke engineered systems to meet client requests. Working alongside another Internal Sales Engineer the role is varied and will also provide support for parts and service.

Internal Sales Engineer - Required Skills & Experience:

  • Mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience working in high pressure pump sector or pump related industry.
  • Understanding of engineering principles and practices to underpin consultative sales processes.
  • Experience of engaging and managing relationships we key clients and new enquiries.
  • Sound administration skills with experience of producing quotes and sales order processing.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to interface effectively internal stakeholders (engineers, operations and marketing groups) to obtain correct solutions for customer needs.
  • Must be a competent user of Excel/Word/Outlook. SAP experience but other CRM/ERP systems experience considered.

Internal Sales Engineer - Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of quotes with a focus on complex quoting for pump systems.
  • Support for quotes and order processing for spare parts and service in the absence of a co-worker.
  • Manage enquiries received via phone and email and ensure systems are updated with all relevant information.
  • Proactive approach to managing order pipelines through efficient management and follow up a quote log.
  • Investigate customer queries regarding faulty equipment and arrange for returns in accordance with company procedures.
  • Complete sales order process and invoice accurately and in accordance with company procedures
