We are an established company who can boast over 40 years in business and we are now seeking an Internal Technical Sales Administrator to join our growing business. We are based in Fleet, Hampshire and the successful candidate can welcome a generous salary of up to £35k, plus discretionary company bonus up to 10% of salary, 20 days’ holiday rising 1 per year service up to 23 days, contributory pension plan 4%, free parking and will work the hours of Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm.
We are a specialist manufacturer and supplier of high pressure pumps and have a reputation for excellent quality and dependable products within the market. We work closely with our American parent company and operate globally.
Working in a team of 2, the summary of the job role is to provide customer service and administration support to our distributors and OEM's in the UK and Ireland. You will provide internal support of our product lines, engineered packages, parts and accessories. This permanent technical sales administration role requires a person with an engineering/technical qualification / background willing to learn and develop their knowledge within a technical industry.
To role of the Internal Technical Sales Administrator will cover the following duties:
- Respond to requests for quotations for pumps, standard engineered packages, accessories and replacement parts.
- Ensure sales orders are processed, dispatched and invoiced accurately.
- Liaison and agreeing terms with couriers as and when required.
- Responsible for all day to day operational aspects of sales order entry.
- General customer liaison via telephone/email as necessary (invoicing & delivery enquiries etc.).
- Investigate any problems and take appropriate action, including arranging the return of faulty items using current ISO9001 procedures.
- Handle service enquiries and progress jobs to invoice status in conjunction with operations.
- Maintains quotation log and follows up on leads and quotes to maximize conversion into orders.
- Provides customer service in accordance with company policies, procedures, and ISO9001 requirements.
- Interfaces with Engineering and Marketing groups as necessary to obtain solutions for customer’s needs.
- Maintain product knowledge by attending various in-house product review and/or new product training sessions.
- Maintains the confidentiality of all information processed.
To be successful for the Internal Technical Sales Administrator role you will have a technical qualification in a mechanical technology field or an equivalent combination of education and experience as well as a basic Knowledge of engineering principles, concepts, practices and theories. Ideally you will have one year of specifically related experience albeit we will consider less experienced individuals who have a related qualification. You will be confident speaking to customers, have a technical aptitude and be proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel and Office Suite. If you have working knowledge of SAP B1 this will be an advantage but not essential.
Candidates who have worked for either a technical or engineering company will be at a distinct advantage.
