Bennett & Game Recruitment are working with a well-established, industry-leading consultancy providing comprehensive solutions in transport planning, highways scheme design, drainage, and environmental planning. Due to continued growth, our client is looking for a Graduate / Assistant Transport Planner to join their dynamic team in Fleet.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop a career in transport planning. You will gain experience in preparing technical reports, conducting transport assessments, and using specialist software to support a range of development projects. Working closely with senior team members, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality solutions to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans.
  • Assist with Travel Plan coordination and reporting.
  • Analyse and interpret transport data to support project delivery.
  • Undertake junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and local/national authorities.
  • Support Team Leaders in delivering transport and highways advice.
  • Undertake site visits and surveys, contributing to feasibility studies and reports.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and assist with other traffic/transport-related tasks as required.

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, or a related subject.
  • Understanding or experience of UK Transport Planning standards and processes.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Good numerical skills and experience working with spreadsheets.
  • AutoCAD experience (desirable).
  • Understanding or experience with ARCADY, PICADY, and LINSIG.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload effectively.
