I am working with a specialist Highways & Transport Consultancy as they look to recruit a Senior/Principal Transport Planner for their Fleet office. They are looking for a Planner with at least 5 years development planning experience.

As a Senior/Principal Transport Planner based in the Fleet office, you will be responsible for delivering Travel Plans & Assessments for a variety of different clients including residential developers, commercial, healthcare and MOD.

In return as a Senior they are willing to pay up to 46,000 and as a Prncipal you could be paid up to 58,000. They also offer an on the spot and yearly discretionary bonuses plus a profit share bonus!

Senior/Principal Main Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
  • Preparation of Travel Plans as and Travel Plan Coordination
  • Preparation and presentation of technical data and drawings
  • Undertaking junction capacity assessments using ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
  • Liaison with clients, contractors and local / national authorities, as required
  • To check the quality and accuracy of work produced by junior team members
  • Support Team Leaders in the delivery of comprehensive advice to clients on Highways & Transport matters from preliminary advice / feasibility work
  • Undertaking site appraisals/visits and designing surveys, through to providing input to written reports and presentational material

Senior/Principal Transport Planner Requirements

  • Degree in applicable subject; Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience of UK Transport Planning standards and processes
  • Member of Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT)
  • Use of AutoCAD (desirable)
  • Working experience / understanding of ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
  • Self-motivated and ability to manage own workload
  • Approachable and professional manner when dealing with colleagues and clients
