Are you looking for a rewarding and challenging role in a school environment?Do you have the skills and experience to manage and maintain the school site and facilities?If so, you might be interested in applying for this temporary position of school site supervisor at this school in Fleetwood.Your new roleHays Education are looking for an experienced school site supervisor or caretaker to join our Fleetwood schools' well established and dedicated team. You will be responsible for all aspects of site management, including health and safety checks, security checks, cleanliness and management of a small team of cleaners, porterage, routine planned and reactive maintenance, refurbishment and grounds keeping. You will also work closely with the headteacher, the school business manager and other staff to ensure the smooth running of the school.This is a part-time, long-term temporary position and will be worked on a split shift basis Monday to Friday - 7am-9.30am, then 3.30pm-6.30pm. You will be required to have some flexibility and support the school during the holidays with projects that cannot be completed during term time.What you'll need to succeed

  • A relevant vocational qualification in site management or facilities management, or equivalent experience
  • A good knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
  • A good knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques
  • A good knowledge of security systems and equipment
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
  • A willingness to work outside normal school hours when required, such as during school closure periods or emergencies
  • A commitment to supporting the school's vision and values
