Are you a dynamic leader passionate about shaping the future of talent? This highly successful business is seeking to appoint a Head of L&D into a newly created role. Reporting into the Group People Director, you will help to shape and develop routes to learning across the business, supporting on the full L&D cycle and ensuring employees have access to development and training opportunities throughout their careers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy in collaboration with senior leadership, aligning with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing L&D team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Program Delivery: Oversee the creation and execution of core, specialist, and professional development programs, ensuring they meet operational needs and enhance employee competencies.
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, integrating best practices and innovative methodologies into our L&D programs.
  • Performance Management: Design robust tracking and evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of training initiatives and their impact on organisational performance.
  • Leadership Development: Drive succession planning and talent management efforts, identifying and nurturing future leaders.
  • Onboarding Excellence: Craft and continuously improve an engaging induction program that aligns new hires with our company culture and strategic goals.
  • Apprenticeship Programs: Optimise the use of the Apprenticeship Levy, collaborating with training providers to set up beneficial programs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing resources and ensuring effective communication across all levels of the business.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience leading a Learning and Development function with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience of delivering training in a Contact Centre setting would be preferred
  • Qualification/Degree in Learning and Development (or comparable)
  • Strong leadership skills, including managing remote teams and working closely with senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
  • Exceptional organisational, analytical, and prioritisation skills.
  • A results-driven mindset with a passion for delivering an outstanding colleague experience.
