Salary: £31,800
Hours: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (40 hours per week, with a 1-hour break)
On-call System: Every other week in addition to usual hours
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team in Fleetwood. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining all production departments and ancillary areas, ensuring timely breakdown repairs and regular Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) of all machinery and fabrication.
This position also involves being part of an on-call system, providing essential 24-hour maintenance cover every other week.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair:
Perform regular mechanical, electrical (where permitted), and plumbing maintenance and repairs.
Participate in the on-call rota, providing maintenance support during off-hours.
Preventative Maintenance:
Maintain and update the PPM schedule.
Conduct visual inspections and walk-rounds to ensure all equipment is operational.
New System Installations:
Assist with electrical and mechanical installations.
Carry out pipe work around the factory, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Manage logistics, paperwork, and other tasks related to new system installations.
Training and Development:
Engage in on-the-job training.
Attend Health & Safety and other business-related courses and briefings.
On-call Compensation:
Attendance Fee:
Monday Friday: £50 per week
Saturday Sunday: £40 per week
Call Out Fee:
Monday Saturday: Paid at 1.5 times your normal hourly rate
Sunday: Paid at 2 times your normal hourly rate
About You:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance with relevant experience in a similar environment. You should be able to work in a fast-paced setting and be prepared to join an on-call rota every other week. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential.
