Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Moulding Technician to join our dynamic engineering team.The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced injection moulding, extrusion manufacturing environment and possess a strong mechanical aptitude.This role involves maintaining and optimising injection and blow moulding and extrusion equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality output.?
Key Responsibilities:
- Tool Maintenance:Competently strip down and rebuild single and multi-cavity tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity.?
- Process Optimisation:Demonstrate a systematic approach to process evaluation and optimisation to enhance efficiency and product quality.?
- Tool Changes:Perform tool changes, handling equipment up to 2.5 tonnes, in a safe and efficient manner to minimize downtime.?
- Equipment Maintenance:Conduct essential maintenance and repairs on injection moulding machines and tools to maintain operational readiness.?
Desirable Experience and Knowledge:
- Pipe Extrusion Process:Understanding of pipe extrusion processes and the ability to apply this knowledge to improve operations.?
- Injection Stretch Blow Moulding (ISBM):Experience with single and two-stage ISBM processes, contributing to versatile manufacturing capabilities.?
- Injection Blow Moulding (IBM):Familiarity with IBM processes to support diverse production requirements.?
- Hot Runner Systems:Comprehensive knowledge of hot runner systems to ensure efficient Mold performance and product quality.?
Qualifications and Skills:
- Technical Expertise:Proven experience in a fast-paced injection moulding manufacturing environment.?
- Mechanical Aptitude:Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues effectively.?
- Attention to Detail:Keen eye for detail to ensure precision in tooling and product quality.?
- Safety Consciousness:Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to safety protocols.?
