We are seeking a Fluent Welsh Teaching Assistant to support students and teachers at a vibrant high school in Flintshire. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about helping students achieve their academic potential, with a focus on supporting Welsh language development and overall classroom activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, both in Welsh and English
- Assist in delivering lessons and activities in the Welsh language
- Support the teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Help students with their language skills, ensuring they feel confident in using Welsh in everyday classroom situations
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Assist in preparing learning resources and classroom materials
Qualifications & Skills:
- Fluent in Welsh (written and spoken)
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred
- A patient and supportive attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- A commitment to promoting Welsh language and culture
