We have a very exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a large manufacturing company at the heart of the operation in Flint. This is a permanentopportunity for the right candidate with machine operating experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor machines on the production floor.
  • Pack, palletise, load lids, and replenish materials during production
  • Maintain quality assurance by checking for defects and maintaining a clean and tidy work area.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Communicate with team members and supervisors in a respectfulmanner.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of packing, palletising, and machine operating.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
  • Knowledge of material replenishment in a production setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in production demands.
  • Commitment to health and safety practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail to avoid unnecessary mistakes/costs
  • Good understanding of production processes

Benefits

  • Rate of pay: 12.50 during probationary period rising to 13.03 upon successful completion of probationary period / relevant training. (27 391 Starting salary, 28 553 once trained)
  • Pension - 3% employee 3% employer
  • Holidays - the holiday year runs from 1st January - 31st December. Equivalent to 23 days plus bank holidays (please note the regular 6 day breaks within the pattern are in addition to the holidays mentioned)
  • Life Assurance - twice annual basic pay. (rising to x3 after 5 years service)
