Description
The External Communications Manager role will involve:
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies that enhance the company's visibility and reputation in the market
- Manage relationships with media outlets to ensure accurate and positive representation of the company
- Craft compelling content for various platforms, including press releases, newsletters, and social media
- Coordinate public relations activities and events
- Liaise with the internal team to align communications with business objectives
- Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of communications strategies
- Handle crisis management and mitigate potential communication issues
Profile
A successful External Communications Manager should have:
- A degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the industrial/manufacturing industry - although not essential.
- Excellent written communication skills, and experience crafting content including articles, press releases, and social media posts.
- A creative mind paired with the ability to make strategic data-driven decisions
- Experience managing external events is beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in using social media platforms for business
