Job Description:

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Science to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will inspire and motivate students through engaging and effective lessons, helping them achieve their full potential in the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and motivate students.
  • Develop and implement a Science curriculum that meets the educational needs of students and aligns with school standards.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students improve.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in Science education, incorporating new teaching methods and technologies into your practice.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and a love for learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to parents and school leadership as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree in Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Science.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
