About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task and complete the work set by their regular teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Ensure students are engaged and following the lesson plans provided.
- Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies.
- Provide support to students where necessary.
- Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff member.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to cover a variety of subjects and year groups.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
