This crucial role ensures the safe and efficient operation of the site by providing both proactive and reactive engineering services across a range of disciplines. You will be responsible for responding to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. A proactive approach to problem-solving, combined with a broad skill set, is essential, as you will be expected to identify the root cause of issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and effectively respond to equipment breakdowns across various disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
- Monitor machinery during production and make necessary adjustments.
- Effectively troubleshoot equipment issues, utilizing machine history and documentation.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Time-served apprenticeship in a relevant multiskilled discipline (e.g., Mechatronics, Electrical/Mechanical).
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrable experience working in a similar multiskilled role within a manufacturing environment.
Package:
- Salary:48,000 per annum +
- Overtime:1.4x rate
- Bonus:Up to 5% (based on business performance), paid 1% per quarter, with the final quarter being 2%.
- Shifts:A varied shift pattern (days/nights) with excellent work-life balance. A full shift pattern can be provided upon request.
