Position Overview:

Seeking enthusiastic and proactive Teaching Assistants to support students and teachers across multiple schools in the Kingston area. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about education, enjoy working with children, and are adaptable working in a diverse classroom settings. It is required that you have a minimum of 1 years experience working in a primary setting and able to support with the following responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including those with special educational needs. e.g facilitating activities like Attention Autism (Bucket Time)
  • Prepare classroom materials and maintain an organised learning environment.
  • Have a strong understanding of tailored strategies and ability to implement them, such as PECS, TEACCH, Makaton, and visual supports.
  • Ensure the learning environment is safe for all those within the classroom.

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work across multiple school locations within the district.
  • Successful completion of background checks and relevant certifications.
  • Available a minimum of 3 days a week.
