Reed Business Support, the UK's leading specialist recruitment partner, is looking for a Business Analyst to join our client's team in Folkestone. This role focuses on continuous improvement, development, and the introduction of new ways of working to ensure that business systems are efficient and fit for purpose.

Business Analyst Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support negotiations with customers, ensuring compliance with both internal and external reporting requirements, and develop business action plans.
  • Assist in managing processes and administrative operations related to the calculation and invoicing for railway companies, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Gather, analyse, and interpret data related to operations, passenger, and freight services.
  • Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to present findings and support decision-making processes.
  • Identify growth opportunities through business and market research, recommending solutions for new service introductions.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment and integration of business objectives.
  • Drive project success by facilitating communication and collaboration between different departments.
  • Analyse and evaluate technological advancements to support business development.
  • Identify potential commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the business.
  • Analyse customer feedback and data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all operations comply with relevant department, group, and industry regulations/standards in terms of risk management and regulatory reporting.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
Business Analyst Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A good level of education, with a minimum of 'A' level or equivalent. A background in Business, Economics, or Mathematics is desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience in roles that require a strong understanding of business operations, market analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of producing clear, concise reports and presentations.
  • Experience in environments that require a structured approach to tasks while maintaining the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and conditions.
  • A demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with numerical data, including experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or similar roles requiring strong quantitative skills, with attention to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and visualization.
  • Proven ability to create clear, compelling presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, effectively communicating complex information to various audiences.

The ideal Business Analyst candidate would need to be able to show experience obtained from a similar role, be in commutable distance to our client in Folkestone, and be able to commute to the office on a hybrid working model.
