Our pilots provide emergency relief, long-term development and Christian hope to remote communities.We utilise the power of aviation and technology to reach isolated people in need around the globe as we believe nothing should stop people from receiving the essentials of life no matter how remote they are.By helping to link communities isolated from today’s 'connected world’, we are ensuring that the severity of medical emergencies, natural disasters, conflict and famine are reduced, and the light of God now shines brightly there.We are now seeking a Philanthropy and Partnerships Team Leader to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.This is a remarkable opportunity for a fundraising professional with experience building long-term relationships with major donors to join our impactful, mission-driven organisation.You will play a pivotal role in transforming lives by securing major gifts that directly fund essential services and life-changing aviation missions in some of the most remote parts of the world.So, if you want to join a passionate team where your strategic vision and leadership will help expand our reach and impact globally whilst advancing your career in an environment that values growth and collaboration, then apply today!The Benefits- Salary of £53,000 per annum- Annual leave entitlement of 22 days per year plus 8 paid public holidays per year- Non-contributory pension scheme (10% of salary), employees may make voluntary additional contributions- Death in service payment- Flexible working policyThe RoleAs our Philanthropy and Partnerships Team Leader, you will lead a team to build strong relationships with key donors and secure major funding to support our mission.Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, you will drive the development and delivery of strategies to grow major gifts and secure long-term support for the charity.You will develop and execute a major gifts strategy, set clear targets and manage an annual budget to ensure growth in income.Additionally, you will manage a portfolio of high-level donors, including institutional funders, to secure substantial gifts, and work collaboratively with the CEO, Trustees and other stakeholders to cultivate new opportunities.Your role will also involve:- Leading a team of Relationship Managers- Overseeing fundraising activities and supporter events- Representing the Philanthropy and Partnerships team at key meetings and forums- Ensuring adherence to legislation and internal policiesAbout YouTo be considered as our Philanthropy and Partnerships Team Leader, you will need:- Experience of fundraising from generous individuals and trusts- Experience building effective long-term relationships and influencing with Major Donors- Experience leading a successful team and working at a strategic level- Knowledge of philanthropy in the UK and trends in the sector- Knowledge of budget preparation and control- An understanding of the provisions of GDPR legislation and the implications for fundraising- To be educated to degree levelThe closing date for this role is 29th September 2024.Other organisations may call this role Philanthropy Manager, Major Funding Manager, Major Donor Manager, Partnerships Manager, Fundraising Manager, or Giving Manager.Webrecruit and Mission Aviation Fellowship UK are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
