Procurement Manager

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: c. £60,000, plus excellent benefits package, which includes bonus elements and generous pension and annual leave schemes. Hybrid working applies after initial period. 

Managing a small team, overseeing the procurement process and ensuring cost efficiency and regulatory compliance, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct market sourcing and compliance monitoring to reduce costs and improve performance.
  • Ensure adherence to purchasing, financial, and regulatory procedures.
  • Approve orders/contracts within signing limits; escalate higher value items.
  • Manage tender processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and presenting recommendations.
  • Analyse commercial offers and conduct final negotiations.
  • Set up contracts, purchase orders, and related documentation.
  • Monitor supplier performance, manage disputes, and oversee projects to completion.

Experience required:

  • Experience in technical purchasing, ideally gained in a project environment.
  • Team leadership / management experience.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
