Tony Vaughan MP wishes to recruit an energetic, dynamic Senior Caseworker and Officer Manager to oversee his office.

The following are essential: Managing the delivery of constituency casework and ensuring timely and effective responses to constituents’ enquiries. Managing external relations - including communications and management of larger / ongoing projects. You will be required to have overall management responsibility for at least five staff members. Experience of managing a team of advisers is essential; whether in an MP’s office, community advice service or legal context. Political awareness and acumen, and support for the aims and values of the Labour Party, is essential. The role is office based. The normal place of work will be in my constituency office in Folkestone and Hythe. Occasional travel to work in Parliament may be required and a normal working week will be 40 hours.

Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.

Interviews will be held during the w/c 21 October and the successful candidate would be required to start as soon as possible, respecting any notice period that they are required to serve.
