This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual looking to secure their first or second position within a Packaging related role with a global manufacturer and key employer within the area.

The role of Junior Packaging Technologist is placed within R & D Packaging Department and is initially presented on a fixed term contract for 6 months, with every possibility this will be extended thereafter.

We are searching for someone who is happy with a flexible profile of responsibilities within this department.

Skills Required:

Ideally a university degree, diploma or similar, in a related scientific field, ie. Biology, Chemistry Physics or Engineering.

A strong attention to detail focus, strong organisational skills emphasizing accuracy and precision

An eagerness for hands on involvement in documenting practices, including creating technical

reports, utilising scientific testing methodologies, operating laboratory equipment and employing data analysis techniques

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the capability to collaborate efficiently within a team setting.

The capacity to work autonomously, prioritise tour tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct Experiments and Testing

Perform a range of scientific tests and experiments following established protocols and guidelines. This involves conducting laboratory experiments, test trials, and collecting data

Documentation

Create thorough documentation detailing experimental procedures, results, and observations. Maintain precise records of experimental protocols, data, and analysis methods.

Collaboration:

Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including scientists, engineers, and technicians, to support research and development initiatives. Communicate effectively to share findings, discuss results, and contribute to project objectives.

Continuous Improvement

Actively seek opportunities to optimise testing process is, streamline workflows, and enhance efficiency.

An attractive rate of pay available

Monday to Friday - 39 hours per week, based on site
