Contract type: Permanent

Salary: £60 - 65k (negotiable - depending upon experience)

The Projects:

A diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from road improvements, concrete repairs & reinstatements, aviation projects, paving repairs, utilities and specialist framework projects. The initial project that you will be working on is a high profile civil engineering project, including some building works too.

The Role:

This is the perfect opportunity working with a well known civils contractor, who hold an excellent reputation nationwide.

This role will be site / office based 5 days a week, with some potential flexibility.

You will be responsible for:

  • Procuring sub-contractors, agreeing prices and letting the packages
  • Negotiating costs with various parties
  • Drawing up contracts (NEC)
  • Monthly reporting (CVR)
  • Responsible for work packagechange controland management
  • Dealing with any pricing variations
  • Responsible for project re-measure
  • Preparing final accounts
  • Change management
  • Managing subcontractors
  • Working within an integrated team

Requirements:

  • NEC 3 or 4 (Option B and E experience)
  • Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying
  • Excellent IT and maths skills are essential
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent report writing and negotiation skills are essential
  • Experience in - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works

Benefits:

  • £60,000 - 70,000 per annum (depending on experience) + package
