Working for an innovative and thriving manufacturing company in Folkestone, as Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for testing of raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods produced in accordance with the relevant GMP requirements and internal procedures.

The role

  • Keeping detailed, up to date laboratory notebooks
  • Work independently to carry out the tasks allocated by the QC Shift Supervisor on a daily basis
  • Aid in the validation and verification of new methods used within the QC lab
  • Report all out of standard results to the QC Shift Supervisor and take part in investigations to determine the root cause
  • Ensure 5S is kept up to date with the standards audits and report failings
  • Works with R&D/Tech services regarding the introduction of new products for laboratory testing or support existing products
  • Keeping the retain sample program up-to-date
  • Performing testing
  • Support the review and update of laboratory procedures and test methods within stipulated timeframes to maintain compliance

About you

You will be experienced in quality control, ideally gained from a FMCG environment, with knowledge of GMP and ISO 13485 being advantageous. A qualification in analytical science is desirable. You should be able to work independently in a lab environment, be highly organised
