We have an opportunity for an experienced Housing Income Officer to work with our client on a temporary basis through until April.

You will be responsible for the recovery of unpaid housing income debt that would include Housing Income, Housing Benefit over payment, Sundry Debts, Council Tax and NNDR.

You will reduce and prevent rent arrears by providing information, support and payment arrangements to customers. There will be a lot of liaising with customers primarily over the phone to undertake debt recovery as well as regularly manage and monitor rent, service charges and sundry debtors accounts to ensure payments are made on time and monies are recovered.

You must have knowledge of debt recovery and have a good understanding of relevant processes, regulations and legislation. Excellent customer handling skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as work well in a team are essential.

You will be working 37 hours a week Monday to Friday.

The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
