As a Front End Developer, you will work as part of a team to develop and maintain all company websites and aid with the design of any communications such as social media posts and other media. You must be motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. This is an active role working on both graphical design and technical implementation defining how the application looks, as well as how it works.

Requirements:

• Proficient understanding of web markup (including HTML5, CSS3) and server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as DevOps.
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring the application will adhere to them.
• Understanding of UX concepts and principles in an online and mobile context.
• Remote availability in the event of a crisis.
• Good communication skills, proactive systematic way of working.
• Always develop with a mobile first approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as a member of their in-house development team as a front-end web developer.
• Help create, maintain, extend web and mobile solutions for your customers.
• Ensure solutions are fully functional and tested before production release.
• Ensure solutions are secure and do not suffer from vulnerabilities such as Cross-Site scripting and SQL Injection.
• They must adhere to the latest standards and best practices.
• Provide analytical data for all web applications.
• Make use of and continuously update their technology stack for UI/UX development.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of their development processes and tools.
• Liaise with the Head of Development to ensure smooth running and availability of web sites.
• Provide IT support as and when required.

This role will be 5 days a week in the office, working in a relaxed, 'startup feel' environment. You'll be amongst an experienced team that you can learn from!
