CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator

COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE

Our client is a world class, multi award-winning, well-established manufacturing business, with strong and sustained investment in people, capital and plant. They produce specialist products and are an acknowledged international leader in terms of size and technical capabilities. Due to continued growth they’re seeking a supply chain administrator. As part of a close team you will contribute to the smooth running and administration of the supply chain department. The successful candidate will be organised, able to plan workload activities, and work to deadlines. You will be highly organised and possess a good level of competence with Microsoft.

They are currently recruiting for a CNC / Manual Miller to run / operate various milling machines to produce components including dies and machine parts.

NB: This role will start on Day shift, and will move to an Early/Late shift rotation (Pay rates / Hours below)

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Programming, setting, and operating multi axis and congenial milling machines.
  • Tool repair, maintenance and Manufacture  
  • Manufacturing tooling for use in compression and injection moulding to high tolerances.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

ESSENTIAL

  • Time served apprenticeship in relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in the manufacture of High-quality Milled components.
  • Experience working with Jigs, fixtures and various work holding devices.
  • Extensive Knowledge of Tooling (inserts/speeds/feeds)
  • Ability to program Doosan machines with
  • Abiliy to programme Fanuc
  • Can read and interpret Engineering drawings.
  • Working to tight tolerances and timelines.

DESIRABLE

  • HNC / HND or similar in engineering
  • CAM experience (fusion360/Feature Cam)
  • 5 axis Milling experience (future development)

Day Shift Initially for 12 Months: £38,008 PA + Overtime + Competitive Benefits *Rising to approx. £42,000 PA and when undertaking Early/Late Shift Rotation + Overtime + Competitive benefits / 37 Hour week: / Day Shift: 07.00-15.30 (Mon-Thurs) 07.00-12.00 (Fri) / Early / Late Shift Rotation: Earlies: 06.05-14.35 (Mon-Thurs) 06.05-11.05 (Fri) / Lates: 14.25-22.55 (Mon-Thurs) 10.55-15.55 (Fri) Competitive holiday + Bank holidays / Health Care / Competitive Pension / Onsite parking / Life Assurance
