The Role:
- Position: Learning Support Assistant.
- Salary: 80-100 per day, dependent on experience.
- Start Date: Immediate.
- Location: Waltham Forest, East London.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils in both group settings and 1:1. Your focus will be to ensure that every child is engaged, included, and progressing in their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs.
- Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
- Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction among pupils.
- Adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual pupil needs.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, fostering a safe and inclusive environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
- A proactive, patient, and nurturing approach to working with children.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- An interest in supporting pupils with additional needs, such as ASD or SEMH.
- A passion for education and helping children succeed.
