Our client is a leading manufacturing company with a rich history and having recently appointed key individuals in their leadership they are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to support the organisations continued growth

Working Monday to Friday and supporting approximately 30 staff across day and back shift responsibilities to include:

  • Provide instruction, training, and supervision to your team, ensuring workloads are effectively allocated and work performance is monitored. You will promote a "right first time every time" culture across the team.
  • Implement and manage production schedules using recognised methods and processes, ensuring efficient use of both labour and equipment. Tackle and resolve any problems that arise to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Ensure documented pre-start checks, process controls, and postproduction clean-down procedures are followed to support optimal daily start-up and consistent production.
  • Manage the health and safety protocols for the department, ensuring Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) are in place and training and risk assessments are kept up to date. Your focus will be on fostering a culture where safety is a top priority.
  • Ensure clear and concise communication across your team, making sure everyone is aware of their responsibilities. Hold regular team meetings to review performance, engage in problem-solving, and promote positive changes.
  • Use management control systems to monitor operational performance, reduce downtime and waste, and control labour costs. Continuously review all processes, identifying and implementing changes for continuous improvement.
  • Identify team and individual development needs through appraisals and reviews, then plan and implement necessary training to drive team growth and capability.
  • Collaborate with other Department Managers, Supervisors, and Senior Operatives to deliver mutual success across the business and ensure budgetary goals are met.
