Overview:

First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a General Manager on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure park presentation meets company standards, maintaining high-quality accommodation and grounds.
  • Enforce park rules rigorously to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
  • Manage and oversee all park operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and achieving financial targets.
  • Directly supervise changeover days for efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and develop park teams to ensure high performance and guest service excellence.
  • Hold regular Head of Department (HOD) meetings to strategize and manage seasonal demands.
  • Deliver an outstanding guest/owner experience, responding to feedback and exceeding expectations.
  • Take full responsibility for all revenue streams, including Holiday Home Sales, Holiday Hire, Retail, and F&B.
  • Control expenses, wage costs, and stock, while implementing strategies to increase sales.
  • Ensure full Health & Safety compliance, maintaining records and promoting safe working practices.
  • Manage park marketing and brand awareness, including social media and competitor analysis.
  • Provide weekly performance reports to the Board of Directors.
  • Foster strong working relationships with the central team and other parks in the group.
  • Comply with all company policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Undertake training as required by management.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and management experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with resilience under pressure.
  • Financial and business acumen, with experience managing multiple revenue streams.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Previous experience in holiday park management is desirable but not essential.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
