You'll have experience of being in a leadership role in a residential care environment and will understand the challenges of working to create the best possible home environment and opportunities for children and young people who may have faced a difficult start in their lives. You'll be empathetic and at the same time determined and excited to deliver the best possible quality and get the best results.
You will of course be able to inspire and energise a team who love what they do and want the best for the children and families they support. You'll also have appropriate professional qualifications (or be willing to work towards) for being a manager in a residential childcare facility.
