Job Advertisement: Multi-Skilled Engineer - Nights

Salary: £40-45k per annum + 12% nightshift premium (Negotiable)
Are you an experienced engineer looking for a challenging role with excellent career progression opportunities? We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our dynamic team in Fosdyke, working nights on a 223 shift pattern (18:00 06:00).
The Role
As a key member of our engineering team, youll provide top-tier engineering support, ensuring smooth and efficient operations while minimizing downtime. Working in a wet factory environment, youll tackle everything from reactive maintenance to planned preventative maintenance (PPM), leveraging your electrical and mechanical skills to keep our facility running at its best.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Executing day-to-day maintenance tasks, including line improvements.
- Identifying and implementing solutions to reduce downtime in line with the engineering strategy.
- Conducting root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues.
- Supporting engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Driving a PPM-focused culture.
- Assisting with machine setup in collaboration with the operations team.
- Handling breakdowns, including pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, conveyors, sensors, and inverters.
- Basic PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting.
- Lone working on nights, escalating issues when necessary.
About You
Were looking for a self-motivated, adaptable individual with a can-do attitude and a focus on getting it right the first time. To excel in this role, you should have:
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Time-served apprenticeship.
- Level 3 electrical qualification (minimum).
- Mechanical experience (qualifications desirable but not essential).
- Electrical fault-finding expertise.
- Strong problem-solving skills and basic knowledge of PLCs.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in industrial environments (food industry experience not required).
- Familiarity with conveyors, sensors, inverters, and wet factory settings.
