Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Orion is partnered with an innovative manufacturing business located in Fosdyke, Lincolnshire. We are recruiting for an electrically biased Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer who has a positive can-do attitude, who is highly motivated and a strong communicator.

This role requires a driver as there is no route on public transport!

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Duties:

The execution of day-to-day maintenance tasks, including line improvements
The provision and implementation of solutions in line with the engineering strategy to reduce downtime
Use of root cause analysis to determine the underlying reasons behind problems and failures, seeking to identify areas for improvement in plant performance
Involvement in engineering projects from inception to delivery as and when required
Continually drive towards a PPM culture
To assist in setting of machines in conjunction with the operations team
The provision of a first-class engineering service
Providing daily progress updates to the Site engineering lead
Working together with internal and external teams
Compliance with all health and safety, quality, and hygiene standards
Communicate effectively with engineering stores, on parts used, to maintain the restock
Work alongside production with a “one team” mindset

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Required Experience :

Time served apprenticeship
Electrical qualifications from a recognised body
Mechanical qualifications from a recognised body
NVQ level 3 or BTEC L3 or equivalent
Electrical fault-finding skills
PLC experience
Machinery maintenance (PPM’s and reactive)
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Machinery set up
Continuous improvement projects
