Are you a Marine Engineer looking for the required training and support to secure your MEOL qualification?

Are you looking to join a company where you can hone your skills, become a Chief Engineer and significantly increase your income?

This is a great opportunity to work and live in arguably the most scenic port in the UK, where you will reside on land and not on the boat.

Based at a South Cornwall port, you will be focused primarily on operating and maintaining the company fleet, but there will be opportunities for outside commercial work at times. You will work closely with the TUG Skipper and a team of Engineers, working on a 2 week/ 3 week roster, operating largely in Port as you gain experience.

Given you will be working at smaller port, the workload remains steady, and you won't be required to live on the TUG during roster OR work long shifts without receiving time in lieu or compensation.

THE ROLE

  • Maintaining and operating a Tugboat
  • Study toward your qualification and gain valuable time operating a Tugboat
  • Mentorship from the Marine Superintendent who has 10 years commercial and 30 years Naval experience.

THE PERSON

  • Marine Engineer working at a commercial organization OR
  • Marine Engineer in the Navy looking for your first commercial role,
  • Live or willing to relocate to a picturesque town in South Cornall
