Field Service Engineer & Product Trainer - Marine Electronics
Location: Fraserburgh, UK
Position: Full-time, on-site (no remote work)
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to install, commission, and support marine navigation, acoustic, and computer-based equipment for various vessels, from new builds to retrofits. This role also involves training users to ensure they maximize the technology's benefits for optimal performance. You'll be instrumental in empowering customers to achieve high standards in marine electronics.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission electronic systems on vessels in UK and overseas locations.
  • Provide field repairs and technical support for installed systems onboard.
  • Develop deep product expertise to advise customers, dealers, and stakeholders.
  • Train customers on product features, helping them feel confident and capable in equipment use.


Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical/electronic system installation, commissioning, and repair.
  • Relevant technical qualifications (HNC or higher).
  • Strong understanding of electronic systems and a full UK driving license.
  • Experience in product training with a practical focus is ideal.
  • Interest in vessels and offshore facilities, and a passion for customer support.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including out-of-hours and weekends if needed.
