Technical Manager required for a well-established and successful food manufacturer with a history of over 50 years. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to play an integral role within a company well known for the quality of its products.
The successful candidate will need experience in a similar role working within the seafood, meat or poultry industry. You will need experience with BRC audits, HACCP and will need experience managing a team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the technical department, which will involve leading the Quality Assurance team (including a QA and a Quality Controller), and a team of seven hygiene staff.
The Technical Manager Role:
· Day to day management of technical team
· Management of Quality Management System to ensure compliance with BRC and HACCP standards
· Continuous improvement of existing policies
· Audits
· Management of hygiene and QA team
· Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions
· Monitor and manage costs related to technical department (e.g. cleaning chemicals, testing etc.)
· Shelf life and organoleptic testing
The Technical Manager Candidate:
· Experience managing a technical team
· Experience working with either seafood, meat or poultry
· HACCP and BRC experience
· Audit experience
