Credit Control Administrator
Location: Helsby (Hybrid)
Salary: £25,500
Role and Responsibilities:As a Client Credit Administrator, you will oversee the credit lending process, assess the creditworthiness of potential customers, monitor existing clients, coordinate credit terms, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Credit Evaluation: Determine the creditworthiness of prospective clients.
- Credit Decisions: Make informed decisions to approve or deny credit facilities based on data analysis.
- Credit Terms: Suggest suitable credit terms aligned with business needs, providing clear justifications for decisions.
- Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations of major customer credit applications as directed by senior staff.
- Credit Negotiations: Collaborate with senior management to establish optimal credit risk strategies.
- Record Maintenance: Keep comprehensive records of all client credit facilities.
- Risk Monitoring: Continuously monitor client risk profiles and update the business as necessary.
- Policy Implementation: Enforce company-wide credit policies and procedures.
- Communication Management: Manage and distribute incoming departmental emails.
- Invoice Validation: Ensure the accuracy of invoices through 10-day courtesy calls.
- Training: Mentor and train new team members in credit management practices.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as required by the business.
Requirements:
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in credit control
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of business software (Windows, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with Access Dimensions is a plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of commercial credit and regulatory requirements for UK/IE company registration is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented and capable of managing stressful situations.
