You are only required to travel to site once a weekHR Recruit is currently recruiting for an experienced HR professional to work 2-3 days per week for our client in the not for profit sector. The role is for a 12 months FTC and is to lead a People team helping to deliver the People plan and report into the Managing Director.Role Responsibilities

  • Support the Leadership Team and the People Team , actively liaising on all HR matters as requested and deputise for them as directed.
  • Deliver a professional HR advisory service providing expert HR advice, support and guidance
  • Manage, motivate and develop the HR unit staff to ensure all HR activity meets the required standards and contributes efficiently and effectively to the support services objectives.  
  • Oversee the management of the HR software and related IT systems which fall under the remit of the HR department
  • Manage and oversee the company sickness absence processes and procedure. 
  • Manage and arrange for the handling of all disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work cases, including supporting all manager investigations and for compliance with company policy and processes. 
  • Manage the undertaking of all job evaluations, advising Managers on job content, ensuring results are fit for purpose and producing robust and fair evaluations that comply with best practice.
  • Manage and advise on recruitment and selection techniques and processes so that employees of the right number and calibre are recruited, deployed and retained and the workforce reflects service needs
  • Advise Managers on identifying training and development needs and resolving performance issues through development solutions. Develop and deliver briefing sessions and participate in workshops to support wider understanding of people management within the service.
  • Oversee, manage and support the development of the company induction process. 
  • Support on implementation of HR workforce  initiatives, champions, Diversity, workforce wellbeing etc. 

Person Specification

  • 5 years proven generalist HR advisory experience
  • Application of employment law in day to day situations
  • Experience of providing interpretation, advice and implementation of disciplinary, grievance, organisational change, recruitment and individual performance policies and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of current employment legislation
  • Ability to work at under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to identify, organise and prioritise own workload effectively
  • Ability to produce and analyse difficult situations/information and provide
  • Driving license as there will be occasional visits to other sites within a short driving distance

In return you will receive a FTE salary of between £45,000-£50,000.
