About The Role:

Pioneer Selection is excited to partner with a leading food manufacturing client who is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. As part of a fast-paced and dynamic production environment, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the efficiency of production machinery and equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled engineer to work with a well-established company in the food manufacturing sector, where your expertise will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform both reactive and planned maintenance on a wide range of machinery and equipment within the production facility.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Carry out regular inspections and servicing to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
  • Work closely with the production team to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and improvements.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment (ideally food manufacturing).
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on both systems.
  • Experience with PLC fault finding and control systems.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, BRC, etc.) is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent) in electrical, mechanical, or maintenance engineering.
