This digital agency are based in a beautiful market town in Somerset and are known for getting that perfect balance of style and substance. They’re based in a studio space surrounded by a hub of other creatives. It’s a social and friendly community, so there are plenty of people to bounce ideas around with.They’re looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to join the team to support their growth as they continue to go from strength to strength. You’ll be working closely with a few other Developers to design and build lean, well-optimised, and fast custom websites for businesses of all shapes and sizes.What skills will you need
  • Senior level experience working with WordPress and developing custom WordPress themes & plugins.
  • Good undertanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, Sass and JavaScript).
  • Good understanding of OOB (object-oriented programming).
  • Experience using WooCommerce to develop eCommerce websites.
  • Great attention to detail when converting comprehensive designs to the web.
  • Knowledge of security & website performance best practices.
  • Understanding of core web concepts (Domains, DNS, Hosting).
  • Working knowledge of version control tools (eg Bitbucket or Git).
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to help support other team members.
Bonus points for…
  • Use of Laravel.
  • Experience or knowledge of Tailwind CSS.
  • Technical SEO understanding.
What you’ll be doingDespite being a small team, they are leading their local market and picking up most of their new clients through organic searches and recommendations. These range from local businesses and start-ups to global corporates across industries including adventure travel, media production, eCommerce, insurance, and an award-winning restaurant - to name just a few! Combining beautiful designs with an intuitive editing experience, the custom WordPress websites you build will enable clients to easily update and manage pages themselves, although you’ll provide ongoing support as required.You’ll be a key part of the success of the company; your views, suggestions and ideas will be highly valued.***It’s essential that you’d be happy to come into their Somerset-based studio 2-3 days a week for in-person collaboration***What you’ll get in return for your talentsIn return you’ll get a starting of £40K-£50K DOE, 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays plus an additional day to celebrate your birthday, flexible working, socials, and Friday team lunches.
