Simple Recruitment are looking for an Engineering Maintenance Manager for our client based in Frome to join their team on a permanent basis.

The JobYou will be leading a team of 24 talented engineers from the office, driving changes within your department toward excellence and efficiency. This is a varied role where the successful candidate will oversee an array of important responsibilities, focusing on innovation and organisation in equal parts.

Key responsibilities:

  • Advise on actions to be taken to resolve unusual situations such as flooding, fire alarms, and breakdowns.
  • Lead and execute the maintenance strategy for the plant.
  • Coordinate with the production, maintenance, and engineering teams to develop and improve autonomous, preventative, and curative maintenance programs.
  • Be responsible for the line efficiency, whilst respecting and remaining within the maintenance budget on PDCA Principles.
  • Find innovative ways of improving the operation and efficiency of the factory plant.
  • Analyse the cause of breakdowns and take appropriate action to avoid a reoccurrence.

About youAs an Engineering Maintenance Manager, you’ll need to be disciplined and organised as a team of 24 will be dependent upon the decisions you make and the guidance you provide. If you’re a natural at solving problems creatively, have exceptional communication and the leadership skills to boot, then you could be the dream candidate that we’ve been searching for!

Key Requirements:

  • 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (preferably in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering).
  • Ability to work in large cross-functional teams and at multiple levels in the organisation.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills, along with the ability to inspire employees and managers at all levels.
  • Goal-oriented and proactive in problem-solving.

SalaryFrom £60k per annum.

Hours8.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
