We have a short term administrative position available within Aggregate Industries Frome office. This role is ideal for someone who likes to work independently and is capable of digitising, disposing and organising documents to comply with GDPR.

Role:Scanning/Administrative Assistant

Location:Aggregate Industries, Vallis Road, Edwin Sims House, Frome BA11 3EG (100% office based)

Rate:12ph

Contract length:4 weeks initially

Shift Patterns:Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week. Flexible timings (open to part time hours around other commitments)

Start:Flexible but must be able to start prior to January 2025

Responsibilities:

  • Scanning hard copy documents into a digital format so hard copies can be disposed

  • Disposing of hard copies accordingly to comply with GDPR

  • Organising digitised documents into folders within the online system

  • Lifting and carrying boxes of records as required

  • Providing shipping director with regular updates of progress and any issues as they arise

  • Adhering to GDPR and UK Health and Safety legislation at all times

  • Any other administrative duties relative to the department as required

Essential requirements:

  • Strong IT literacy skill

  • Ability to navigate and use scanning/printing/computer equipment independently and effectively

  • Ability to conduct manual handling including the lifting of boxes and regular bending activity

  • Previous experience within an office environment

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and on own initiative, prioritising own workload and completing tasks within the allocated time frame
