Based in Anglesey, Halen M么n was founded in 1997 by David Lea-Wilson MBE and Alison Lea- Wilson MBE. Halen M么n is a highly successful family run B-Corp business with a global reputation for producing world class, award winning, highest quality sea salt, smoked water, condiments and food products.

The Role

To be responsible for efficient running of the accounting and budgeting system and provision of accurate financial information to the Directors and departments. This hands-on role fully encompasses all accounts duties for the company and reports to the General Manager.

Duties will include:

  • Sending monthly e-statements to customers and following up for monies due
  • Carrying out regular bank and occasional cash book reconciliations
  • Producing and sending customer invoices from sales orders
  • Updating the weekly cashflow summary and producing monthly VAT reports
  • Inputting of budgets into Sage and generating reports as requested
  • Using Sage Paperless software to enter all purchase invoices onto system for approval
  • Control and monitoring of banking transactions for customers and suppliers
  • Sending weekly payroll information to our outsourced Payroll Team
  • Carrying out Monthly and End of Year procedures and liaising with our external Accountant
  • Producing information to enable management accounts production for Directors and Advisors
  • Carrying out monthly stocktakes and producing final reports
  • Assisting with preparation of reports for department heads
  • Control of Petty cash
  • Producing weekly sales report data
  • Credit control
  • Attending team meetings as required
  • To be available for any other duties as may be required
  • To comply with procedures for each part of job in our Standard Operating Manuals

Requirements

The successful applicant will have the following skills, experience and personal attributes:

  • Sage Line 50 (or similar) and Excel experience essential
  • Experienced in personally handling all accounting functions for an organisation
  • Accounting and Higher education and qualifications preferred
  • Good standard of written and spoken communication essential
  • Meticulous and professional record keeping by email and all other systems (Training provided in Paperless system)
  • A neat, tidy appearance should be preserved at all times
  • An ability to look beyond the numbers to spot important trends
  • All duties to be carried out in a hygienic manner and to "best practices"
  • To participate in public relations through the media as requested
  • To be aware of the confidential nature of the work (and sign the company Non-disclosure agreement) and to maintain discretion
  • To be courteous and considerate to the other staff, customers, suppliers and members of the public
