Our client are a compassionate and dedicated care company; they are currently seeking a diligent and caring Housekeeper to join the team on a permanent full-time basis. Hours of work will be on a rota basis, between 9am and 7pm.
As a Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the care home is a clean, welcoming, and safe place for the residents, staff, and visitors. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of hygiene will help to create a home-like environment that supports the well-being and comfort of the residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising all areas of the care home, including resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
- Manage laundry services for residents, ensuring their clothing and bedding are cleaned to a high standard.
- Safely and efficiently dispose of waste, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies and report when stock needs replenishing.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, using appropriate PPE and cleaning materials.
- Engage warmly and respectfully with residents, ensuring their needs and preferences are met with care and consideration.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping, ideally in a care home or similar environment, is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly in a health care setting.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A caring and empathetic approach, with a passion for helping others.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
You need to be able to obtain a DBS certificate.
Driving license essential due to location.Pay starting from £12.05 per hour.
