Your Responsibilities & Role PurposeWorking as part of the Farm Trading team at Hemswell, you will provide excellent administrative support to the department. Main responsibilities will be:

  • Assisting Farm Traders day to day - answering calls, data/contract entry, sending out sample results, contract amendments, giving prices for grain/seed/fertiliser.
  • Proactively contact farmers to support Farm Trader business.
  • Entering new accounts and making amendments.
  • Maintenance of spreadsheets to determine availability/quality and pricing requirements of forward contracts.
  • To contact prospect customers via telephone to create leads for Farm Traders.
  • Assisting the Farm Trading desk with campaigns providing relevant information is presented in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assisting with the organisation of farmer events.
  • To assist with organisation of samplers and their workloads during harvest.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by your Line Manager
Your Profile
  • Excellent communication skills being able to converse effectively and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Previous administration required.
  • Ability to multi task and to work to tight deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Must interact and building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong IT skills both for use on Microsoft packages and bespoke systems.
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Attention to detail is paramount
