Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with customers, and managing your own time and workload? We have an exciting opportunity for you as a Meter Technician. This role offers the freedom to choose your own working hours within our operational window, supported by a well-established organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Obtain accurate readings from water meters.
- Carry out meter exchanges (full training will be provided).
- Collect meter data.
- Provide excellent customer service to our customers.
- Manage your own workload and schedule to meet meter reading targets.
- Work is physically demanding, involving walking 3 to 8 miles per day.
- Use a handheld computer for data entry and job tracking.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in retail or hospitality is advantageous.
- Customer-focused with a professional image.
- Physically fit to manage walking distances between 3 to 8 miles daily.
- Basic IT skills for handling handheld devices.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and organise your own schedule within the given working hours.
