DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR - 10 MONTHS - INSIDE IR35

Loriens Galashiels based Public Sector client is looking for an experienced DBA to join their team for up to 16 months, this role will working mainly remote with minimal days in Tweedbank offices.

Essential Skills:

  • Expertise in Access DB
  • Experience in database management (maintenance, manipulation, access and querying) using SQL.
  • Expertise in data modelling, reporting, analysis, presentation and visualisation.
  • Engage positively and professionally with the project team, internal and external subject matter experts and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in, and ability to, apply a range of tools and techniques to collate and analyse data from across the organisation and in line with governance.
  • Experience conceiving, designing and building dashboards using tools such as Excel and enterprise BI solutions such as Caseware Idea, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Experience of working with stakeholders to define and implement reporting requirements.
  • Experience working on large projects
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work under own initiative and direction.
  • Must be able to work independently on MS Access
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and schedule work within an agreed set of priorities or work programme.
  • Ability to lead on data initiatives, develop a plan and influence and negotiate with colleagues and stakeholders to implement the plan
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Must be able to support moving to Apex Oracle after Excel.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of pensions
  • Data analysis qualification
  • 5 plus years acting as a data analyst
