Maintenance Manager

The Role
My client is seeking aMaintenance Manager to take full responsibility for the upkeep, functionality, and efficiency of our factory and office facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained working environment that supports operational excellence.
The work will include the following:
Facilities Management and Maintenance
- Oversee and manage all aspects of facility maintenance, ensuring buildings, offices, and factory areas are in top condition.
- Coordinate and oversee external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs.
Equipment & Asset Management
- Ensure factory equipment, including saws, forklifts, welding units, press, guillotine, drills, and handheld tools, are maintained and functioning efficiently.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and arrange replacements as necessary.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Lead and contribute to Health & Safety meetings, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company and legal safety standards.
- Oversee risk assessments and implement corrective actions where needed.
Facility Housekeeping & Improvement Projects
- Manage minor repair work and schedule major refurbishments as required.
- Oversee office and factory aesthetics, ensuring all spaces reflect a professional and well-maintained image.
- Identify opportunities for facility improvements and implement efficiency-driven projects.
The Candidate
To apply for this role, you must
- Proven experience in facilities and maintenance management within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and building systems maintenance. Experience in service, installation, and commissioning in special-purpose machinery
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations and facility maintenance best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to liaise with internal teams and external contractors.
